TCNJ welcomes new freshman class (PHOTOS)

EWING -- The College of New Jersey welcomed new students Thursday as freshmen from the class of 2020 began moving into their dorms.

There are about 6,580 full-time students at the college.

Last year a record-high 11,337 applications were received from prospective students, according to college officials.

The College of New Jersey was ranked as one of the 75 "Most Competitive" schools in the nation by Barron's Profiles of American Colleges.

The college plans a series of events and entertainment for new Lions as they ease into their new home away from home.
